Trauma and Mental Health Services

Women in crisis have urgent needs for trauma counseling and clinical interventions. As we know from our daily work with tenants, the enormous stress of homelessness often triggers severe mental health challenges, such as anxiety disorders, depression, and toxic stress.

Our on-site Clinical Care Manager provides timely, personalized trauma counseling to women on an ongoing basis in a familiar setting where they feel safe and secure, and makes referrals to other mental health or treatment programs in the community as needed. Women who work with the Clinical Care Manager have made significant gains processing their trauma, stabilizing their mental health, and gaining the necessary stability to pursue self-sufficiency goals, such as education, employment, or reconnecting with their families.

With on-site clinical staff in place and opportunities for non-clinical staff to receive training on trauma-informed approaches, our trauma-informed approach provides an environment in which all women can thrive.
