Mathylde Frontus
Dr. Frontus brings over 20 years of experience in social work, with a deep commitment to community-based services. Her expertise in strategic planning, program management, and evaluation is unparalleled, and her work with justice-involved families, trauma survivors, and vulnerable communities aligns perfectly with the mission of HousingPlus.
Dr. Frontus has an impressive background, including serving as a New York State Assemblywoman and teaching at both NYU and Columbia University’s Schools of Social Work. She most recently served as Interim Executive Director at Coney Island Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation, overseeing programs focused on economic mobility, revitalization services, and housing support.
Dr. Frontus holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work from the NYU School of Social Work, a Master’s of Social Work from the NYU School of Social Work, an M.A. in Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a PhD from the Columbia University School of Social Work, specializing in Social Policy & Administration.
