About the event

Join us for a dinner and program at Trinity Commons. Our spring event will focus on women and healing from the criminal legal system, with guests Jennifer Bisram, Fox Rich, Sharon White-Harrigan, and Maya Wiley.

We are excited that Maya Wiley will keynote the HousingPlus spring event on Tues. evening, June 13th focusing on women and healing from the criminal legal system. Maya, a nationally recognized civil rights attorney and the president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and The Leadership Conference Education Fund, will describe the intersection of women, families, and the pathways to healing.

A featured speaker of our evening will be Fox Rich, author, activist, and founder of Rich Family Ministries. Time, her 2021 Academy Award-nominated documentary, describes her family’s odyssey of incarceration, the crushing toll it takes and how they’re healing.

Our MC for the night will be Jennifer Bisram, CBS New York reporter, whose work has spotlighted the impact of incarceration on Rikers Island mothers and their children
