Permanent Supportive Housing

HousingPlus offers permanent supportive housing with a focus on women and gender-expansive people, and their families. We target individuals who have experienced homelessness and/or chronic homelessness, providing safe and secure housing surrounded by a range of services that help tenants address the issues that can make them vulnerable to housing insecurity.

Transitional Supportive Housing

HousingPlus offers transitional supportive housing, which like our permanent supportive housing begins with providing housing and complements that with supportive services to allow participants to gain stability. However, these are provided for a limited time, with a view to transitioning participants into permanent housing when they are ready. Our transition programs currently focus on supporting justice-involved women and gender-expansive people. Through our Justice Works program, transitional housing provides an alternative to detention at Rikers and other facilities.

Comprehensive Services

Once our tenants have a stable home, HousingPlus offers a range of individualized services to our program participants designed to meet them where they are and put them on the path to achieving their goals.

Who We Serve

Housing Plus serves at-risk New Yorkers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or have experienced homelessness and/or chronic homelessness. Within this group, we target the most vulnerable including: women and children, gender-diverse people, female Veterans, the justice-involved, and people navigating mental health and substance use disorders.
