Our fall event continues a yearly tradition of gathering outdoors with the women and families that reside in our buildings. We're so excited to share some images from the day with you.

Rita Zimmer, Founder of HousingPlus, has announced she is moving on—or as she calls it “reinventing myself.” HousingPlus seeks a Chief Executive Officer who, during this pivotal time, will sustain what we have accomplished and help us to broaden our reach to serve even more individuals and families in New York City.

For the second year in a row, our two Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded projects scored the highest scores in the city out of 150 other housing service providers in the 2024 Annual Continuum of Care Evaluation! HousingPlus has been providing community-based housing for women and families facing homelessness in New York City. Our goal has been to create a place where women can feel safety and belonging.

Shepherd Glenmore is a new development that will allow HousingPlus to expand our reach to an additional 70+ women or women-led families in East New York. Our goal is to double the number of units of housing we support.
